Sky Ride local is coming back to Yorkshire Rides starting soon in Bradford, Hull and East Riding.
Friends and families are invited to join in a series of free led bike rides this spring as Sky Ride local starts up again.
The rides are led by trained local leaders who can help and encourage riders of all ages and abilities. Rides are at four different levels so there is something for everyone. Rides are taking place every weekend across Yorkshire until the end of September.
The first ride, our Keighley Towpath Tootle sets of this Sunday at 2pm from East Riddlesden Hall and is perfect for families.
The Sky Ride Local rides are part of a national campaign including free events, activities, information and support to help and inspire people of all ages and abilities re-discover the fun of bike riding and get 1 million people cycling regularly by 2013. Bradford, Hull and East Riding are all a Sky Ride campaign partner.
Dan Goodey, British Cycling Recreation Manager said; ‘If you fancy a fun, free, relaxed afternoon out with your friends and family, you can’t beat a bike ride and we’ve planned some of the best routes around. It’s great to see Yorkshire from the saddle and if you’ve not been on a bike for a while the friendly Ride Leaders are there to help and support you.’
