Following successful workshops run for the past 9 years, there will be another Regional Volunteer Workshop to prepare for the 2026 season. We’d like to invite all Yorkshire race organisers, commissaires, accredited marshals, judges, drivers and NEG, Community riders, even if you’re a rider – come along and give your input.
This event presents a unique opportunity for networking, fostering connections with individuals already contributing to the cycling community in Yorkshire. Whether you are an experienced volunteer or someone interested in getting involved for the first time, this workshop is designed to cater to all levels of expertise.
This interactive workshop is designed to support both new and experienced volunteers, providing valuable insights, updates on regulations and practical tips to ensure the smooth running of events.
Come along and network with fellow volunteers and help make Yorkshire’s events even more successful. Whether you’re looking to get involved or build on your existing expertise, this workshop is really worthwhile attending.

10:00 – Welcome & Introductions
10:15 – 11:30 – Session 1: General Topic Quiz 10 question general cycling knowledge quiz, in pairs with discussion points around the answers
11:30 – 12:15 – Open Discussion Session 1
12:15 – 13:00 – Buffet Lunch & Networking
13:00 – 14:15 – Open Discussion Session 2
14:15 – General Q&A
14:30 – Close
The sessions will be of value to all – experienced or novice, so come and join us and find out how the Yorkshire Region can help you with your event organisation in 2026. This is your chance to meet the British Cycling Regional staff and key members of the Yorkshire Board. Your presence and input will contribute significantly to the success of this workshop, and we look forward to creating a vibrant and collaborative environment.
It has been agreed by BC Yorkshire that all attendees at the workshop shall be eligible to claim travel mileage to and from the activity at the rate of 15p per mile. Claim forms will be available on the day.
The workshop will take place at Wyke Community Sports Village on Saturday 14th February.
