We are seeking a passionate individual to lead our regional youth teams.
The Regional Team Manager plays a vital role in supporting and developing youth cycling talent within the Yorkshire region. Appointed by and accountable to the British Cycling Yorkshire Regional Board, the Team Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of regional youth team activities. This includes coordinating team participation in key events, selecting riders and support personnel, managing logistics, and ensuring the team represents the region to the highest standard. The role requires a committed, organised and communicative individual.

Role Description:
The British Cycling Yorkshire Regional Team Manager is responsible for coordinating youth regional team activities within the Yorkshire region and UK, including the selection of riders and team personnel, using approved selection criteria, to participate in events approved by the Regional Board.
Main Duties:
- Prepare expressions of interest for events to advise riders and team personnel via our website and social media platforms.
- Selection of riders and team personnel for nominated events, and subsequent coordination and preparation of the team for the event.
- Attend and report on activities to the Regional Board and Regional AGM.
- Maintain an adequate supply of race clothing and equipment, ensuring a record is kept of its whereabouts in the form of an inventory.
- Prepare pre-race budgets for approval by the Regional Board and manage expenditure within approved funding
- Ensure that a race report is prepared post event for the Board (where applicable).
- Maintain regional standards and ensure these standards are upheld by both riders and team personnel when representing the Region.
- Reasonable travel and subsistence expenses claimable with receipts to Treasurer.
Competence/Experience:
- Must hold current membership with British Cycling and be either a club, team or private member within the Yorkshire Region.
- Demonstrate an understanding of, and commitment to, the Region’s aims, objectives and values, and willingness to devote time to carry out responsibilities.
- Be a good communicator with confidentiality is essential.
- High level organisational and interpersonal skills with the ability to respect the confidences of the region’s membership.
