The official launch event for the new Wyke Community Sports Village is on Saturday 10th September.
British Cycling, East Bradford CC and Shibden CC will all be present to help run various activities including Go Ride coaching, balance bikes and cyclocross and there are two race meets happening – the White Rose Youth League finale in the morning and the No Nonsense women 2,3,4 and men 3,4 regional races in the afternoon.
There will be opportunity in between the racing for members of the public and local club/group riders to use the circuit and your members would be very welcome to join us. If you haven’t been yet this will be a great opportunity to come along and have a look around – club bookings for use of the venue can be made now – please contact Andy Akers for details.
The ‘official’ opening will take place between 10am and 2pm with the ribbon ceremony at 12 noon. Various VIP guests will be in attendance and hopefully one or two team GB riders.
If your club or group would like to have a gazebo on site to promote your activities and attract new members please let Andy know and he will arrange for a space for your club.
