Tom Pidcock won the junior men’s race at the UEC European Cyclo-cross Championships in Pont Chateau, France, with a 14 second advantage over his nearest rival.
The British cyclo-cross sensation is no stranger to topping the podium but took his first European junior title, after finishing eighth at in the 2015 edition of the race. Pidcock took the lead in the third lap of the eight-lap contest and developed a gap over the chasing pack, which he maintained for the rest of the race. Fellow Great Britian Cycling Team rider Ben Turner also finished inside the top-ten in seventh place, while Thomas Mein took 25th, Toby Barnes was 28th and Harry Yates 37th to cross the finish line.
